'Greensands'. One of a number of designs for private self-build clients. The house features passive solar design and 'breathing wall' technology, combined
with a sun space and a 'trombe wall' of masonry construction which acted as a
solar flywheel which evens out the peaks and troughs of solar

INTEGER and the BBC Dreamhouse. Paul is a founder member of INTEGER which was funded by the BRE Housing Group
to research information on green and intelligent technology with specific reference
to social housing. INTEGER's research into the principles and technologies led
to this BBC sponsored house being built at the BRE site to Paul's design. 'Guardian Best Ecological Development Housing Award' in l999. More

Accredited to the Building Research Establishment's 'Design Advice' Scheme
on matters of energy efficient design. Design work is currently proceeding on the Regional centre for Sustainable
Living at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum which will include two houses open
to the public demonstrating the principled of sustainability. Two similar houses
